+81 is a visual magazine launched out of Tokyo in 1997. From graphic design to fashion, photography, film, and music, +81 covers creative scenes around the world with a different theme every issue through inter- views with artists along with samples of their artwork. +81 has also won much support for the distinctive editorial design of its pages. All articles are printed bilingually in both Japanese and English, which has lead to +81 being carried at booksellers not only in Japan but in many other countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia as well.

+81 is a global visual magazine launched out of Tokyo, which has won much support by creators all around the world, has proudly been hosting the creative event Graphic Passport since 2009. At every event, we have invited well-known creators from various fields to be part of our programs. The event has suggested to be the variety of eye-opening programs such as exhibition, conferences and workshops, will be held not only in Japan but also in each city in Europe, America and Asia. Graphic Passport will create a place to give the chance to “Think, Touch, Talk” for your new creation.

Since our first issue, our design and contents has been highly regarded for its high quality and innovation. Since then, we at +81 have used our sense and creativity to respond a diverse range of requests from many different businesses and brands. We are capable of providing design production for projects like catalogues, advertisement as well as producing content like booklets, apparel, and digitals. We have also recently begun conducting collaboration projects, product development, and international event/project produce for brands and businesses utilizing the creators introduced in the pages of our magazine.

The +81 gallery project gives comprehensive support to up-and-coming creators in their artistic endeavors, collections, publications, selling of work, exhibitions at home and abroad, management, PR, and other areas with the intent of helping them branch out into the world. Our mission is to create a hub for displaying works of art and sharing information that will enrich the lives of creators, clients, guests, and everyone else involved.

This school was established in order produce international-caliber creators through a design curriculum that fuses the education styles of Malaysia and Japan. Our teaching staff from both countries works diligently to develop and operate the school in such a way that it will truly become a source of some of the world’s top artistic minds. The illustration department that is the first step in establishing the school has many students from Malaysia and neighboring countries, and has already begun to send graduates to more than a few creative companies in Malaysia, Japan, and elsewhere.
